Jeremy Diamond is a managing lawyer at Diamond & Diamond Lawyers. Diamond was called to the Bar in 2008 in and practices primarily in the area of Plaintiff personal injury litigation in Toronto. In addition, Diamond is also a member of the Florida State bar having joined in 2002.

A founding member of the Diamond and Diamond rebrand (just under a decade ago) Diamond has been at the helm of the firm’s national expansion growing the office across multiple Canadian provinces. Moreover, he has worked to extend the firm’s service offering to include wills and estates, civil litigation, class actions, immigration, real estate and more. Dubbed “the people’s law firm”, his firm remains one of the most well known legal brands across the nation of Canada.

Famous Cases

In 2014, together, with his wife, the firm called on the province of Ontario to enact mandatory helmet laws for skateboarders, following the death of a 15-year-old Brantford teen.

In April 2014, Jeremy Diamond and Diamond & Diamond lawyers filed a $20.5 million lawsuit on behalf of eight victims of a shooting at York University headed by its founder Jeremy Diamond. Along with other allegations, the firm alleged the University failed to prioritize the safety of its students.

In August 2015, Jeremy Diamond’s firm took on the case of Tawfiqul Alam, an UberX driver in Toronto who was T-boned by a red-light runner while transporting a passenger on June 9. The accident sent both him and his passenger to hospital and totaled his minivan.

Diamond has also fought for victims’ rights through major class actions which have made national headlines. A 2019 suit against the makers of the popular herbicide Roundup totalled $500 million while another suit in the same year took on Capital One to the tune of $350 million. The suit was on behalf of Plaintiffs seeking legal compensation after a data breach leaked various aspects of their personal information.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Diamond organized multiple class action lawsuits against nursing home providers (Revera, Sienna and more) who failed to adequately protect residents against infection. As a result, many residents died unnecessarily. These suits continue to grow in size approaching a sum of close to $1billion dollars in claimed losses.
